JONESTOWN SURVIVOR HAS BUSY SCHEDULE ON NOVEMBER 18, 2014

November 18, 2014

Here is the schedule for this November 18, the 36th anniversary.

BOOK LAUNCH 10 a.m. (details of location are being worked out as we speak)
Kathy Tropp Barbour has created a book of photos called Who Died, with photos of all of our friends and family from Jonestown. Kathy will be there with proofs of her Who Died book pages, and order forms to order a book.  The books will be available by the end of November, for $39.82 (includes tax and shipping). Take a look at the attachments.

EVERGREEN CEMETERY, 6450 Camden St., Oakland, California 94605

We will gather at Evergreen Cemetery by 2 p.m.  Feel free to bring any poem, song, photo, or memory you want to share.  There is no formal program. This year, we will also acknowledge the cremated returns recently brought from a Dover funeral home. On October 20, five more Jonestown victims were buried near the Jonestown panels: Irene Mason, Tony Walker, Wanda Bonita King, Ottie Mese Guy, and Ruth Atkins. Relatives of Tony Walker, Irene Mason and Wanda King agreed to let them be buried at the Oakland cemetery, where a memorial to the victims stands.  No one has been able to find any living relatives of Ottie Guy or Ruth Atkins.

DINNER AT HARRY’S HOFBRAU, at 14900 E. 14th St., San Leandro.

It is 13 minutes from the cemetery. After our time at Evergreen, we survivors will meet up at Harry’s Hofbrau for dinner. We have space there beginning at 5 p.m.
